Watch Face Installation Guide

Follow these quick methods to easily set up your new watch face on your Wear OS device.

Thank you for choosing AppRerum watch faces! We offer premium, dynamic, and battery-efficient watch faces for Wear OS smartwatches. Below are the three preferred methods for downloading and applying your new design.

1. Install via Google Play Store (Preferred)

This is the easiest and most direct method to install your watch face onto your smartwatch using your phone.

1 Open Play Store

Open the Google Play Store app on your paired Android smartphone and search for your desired AppRerum watch face.

2 Select Target Device

Instead of clicking "Install" directly (which might target only your phone), look for the green dropdown button next to "Install" and check the box for your paired **Wear OS smartwatch** device.

3 Trigger Setup

Tap **Install**. Google Play will queue the transfer and sync. Ensure your watch is powered on, connected via Bluetooth, and connected to Wi-Fi/Internet.

4 Apply Watch Face

Once installation completes on your watch:

  • a) Watch Interaction: Long press your current watch face on the screen, swipe all the way to the right, tap the "+" (Add watch face) button, and select the newly installed face.
  • b) Phone Companion app: Open the watch companion app on your phone (e.g. Galaxy Wearable, Pixel Watch app, Wear OS), go to the "Watch Faces" section, find "Downloaded", and tap to apply.

2. Install via Companion App

Many watch faces come with an additional phone companion helper app to simplify transfers.

1 Install Helper App

Install the companion app from the Play Store directly on your mobile phone.

2 Connect Watch

Ensure your smartwatch is turned on and properly paired to the phone via Bluetooth.

3 Trigger Wear OS Install

Open the companion app on your phone. Tap the main **"Install Watch Face on Watch"** button inside the app. This safely forwards the command to the Google Play Store on your smartwatch.

4 Activate Face

Follow the apply instructions in Step 4 of Method 1 to activate it on your wrist.

3. Install via Play Store Web Browser (PC/Mac)

If your watch is not showing up or if you experience payment glitches, using a desktop computer browser is the most reliable bypass.

1 Navigate to Web Store

Open your preferred browser on a PC or Mac and navigate to the Google Play Store Website.

2 Match Accounts

**Crucial:** Log in to the exact same Google account on the web browser that is linked to your Wear OS smartwatch.

3 Deploy to Device

Search for your watch face. Click on **"Install on more devices"** or **"Install"**. A popup will appear. Select your smartwatch from the device list, then click **Install**. Google will push the installation directly to your watch over the cloud.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

Sync Issues (Watch face does not load)

Toggle **Airplane mode** ON and then OFF on your smartwatch. This resets the Bluetooth pairing and immediately forces Google Play Services to sync pending download packages.

Payment Loop (Play Store asks to purchase twice)

This is a standard Google Play sync bug. If you paid on your phone, **do not pay again** on your watch. Use the **Play Store Website (Method 3)** on a PC/Mac to push the install. Since Google Play matches your purchase history, it will transfer the watch face without charging you again.

Smartwatch Not Showing in Device List

Make sure your watch is properly linked to the same Google account. Open the Play Store on your smartwatch, scroll down to the bottom, tap **Settings > Accounts**, and verify that the email shown matches your phone exactly.
